Sri Muthukrishna Swami Mission invites all devotees to the Guru Poornima festivities at Sri Pothai Kshetram, from 29th July to 2nd August 2026.
The celebrations begin with the Guru Poornima Giri Valam Pradakshinam around Sri Pothai Hill on 29th July at 5:00 AM, followed by Thiruvilakku Pooja the same evening at the Vasantha Mandapam, Sripuram. Thiruvasagam Parayanam, offered by artistes of Lalithakala Mandhir, takes place on 30th July at 9:00 AM, with special annadhanam for devotees, and Bhajanai follows on 31st July at 5:30 PM.
On 1st and 2nd August, Sri Muthukrishnaswami Mission presents Maharkalin Tharisanam - a bhakti drama on the lives of the saints, written by Thirumathi Pambe Gnanam of Pambe Gnanam Arts Academy. The performances honour Purandaradasar, father of Carnatic music, on 1st August, and the Advaita Murthis of Kaladi and Kanchi Mahaan on 2nd August, both at 5:30 PM at the Muthukrishna Chitrakoodam.
